In Years 7 to 9 pupils build on the strong foundations established in earlier phases and begin to develop greater independence, confidence and intellectual curiosity. Key Stage 3 represents an important stage of transition, where learners deepen their knowledge across a broad and balanced curriculum while starting to take more responsibility for their progress.
Our programme is designed to challenge and inspire. Pupils engage in rigorous study across English, mathematics, sciences, humanities, Arabic, languages, creative arts, PE and digital learning. Lessons promote critical thinking, problem solving and collaboration, and teachers encourage pupils to ask thoughtful questions, explore new ideas and reflect on their learning.
We recognise that every child has unique talents and interests. Whether in the classroom, on the sports field, in the arts or through service and leadership, we support pupils in discovering what motivates them and in developing a strong sense of personal achievement. Pupils have access to a wide range of leadership opportunities, including class leadership roles, student voice initiatives, peer mentoring, community projects and representation on school councils. These opportunities help pupils develop confidence, responsibility and the ability to lead with integrity.
Our enrichment activities, clubs and competitions broaden pupils’ horizons and help them grow beyond the taught curriculum. From academic challenges to sporting events, creative projects and cultural activities, pupils are encouraged to explore their interests and pursue excellence.
Pastoral care is central to the Middle School experience. As pupils navigate the early teenage years, we provide guidance that helps them build resilience, act responsibly and form positive relationships. Tutors and pastoral leaders work closely with families to ensure that each pupil feels known, valued and supported.
