Term Dates 2026–2027
At Aldenham School Riyadh, our academic year is carefully structured to ensure purposeful learning, balanced rhythms and meaningful rest periods. Clear term dates allow families to plan confidently while preserving the integrity of our curriculum and assessment schedule. As a leading British independent school in Riyadh and a true owner-operated branch of Aldenham UK, we follow a three-term academic structure, aligned with the English educational model, adapted thoughtfully to the Kingdom’s calendar.
Each term includes carefully positioned mid-term breaks, national holidays and assessment windows. These are scheduled to support sustained academic focus while maintaining pupil wellbeing.

Key Principles Regarding Term Dates
-
Term dates are published in advance to support planning.
-
Holidays during term time are strongly discouraged to protect curriculum continuity and assessment integrity.
-
Assessment periods form part of the structured academic progression and attendance during these windows is essential.
-
The academic calendar reflects both British educational standards and the Kingdom’s national observances.
Consistent attendance is vital to maintaining the depth and rigour of the AldenhamPlus curriculum and structured progression pathways described in our academic framework.

Aldenham UK
Founded in 1597, Aldenham UK is the flagship of the Aldenham Foundation and is steeped in history, with over 428 years of academic excellence. Aldenham UK - and all of our schools - embodies the best of timeless traditions and universal values, along with a documented history of a forward-thinking culture that’s served to differentiate us from our peers.
At Aldenham, we remember that achievement is an individual matter - whether that’s entry to an Oxbridge college, a sporting or cultural goal, or simply growing up into a well-balanced individual. Dedicated teaching is at the heart of everything we do. While we help our pupils to focus on their own plans, our teachers focus on our pupils.
