Mrs Meunier - French Teacher

Passionate about languages and travelling, Mrs Meunier achieved her Bachelors in English whilst in France and Masters in French at the University of Oregon in the United States.

After teaching French in the United States, she moved to Saudi Arabia in 2018 with her husband, where she continued teaching the language. 

In her free time, Mrs Meuiner likes to learn about new cultures and explore them through food. She has travelled to many cities in Saudi Arabia and is excited to embark on this new journey in her life.

Mrs Meuiner’s wealth of experience makes her a perfect addition to the team as French teacher at Aldenham Prep Riyadh.

Ms Gibbs - Year 1 Teacher

Ms Gibbs attended school in Riyadh before returning to the UK to complete her A Levels, Degree and PGCE qualifications. 

Ms Gibbs loves to travel, and although she’s lived in many countries, Riyadh has always felt like home to her. When she’s not teaching, she loves to play netball, swim, and walk her golden retriever, Bondi! We’re very pleased to welcome her to Aldenham Prep Riyadh as our Year 1 teacher. 

“I believe all children will succeed at school and am excited to see this happen in Year 1,” Ms Gibbs shares.

Ms Derry - Year 3 Teacher

Originally from South Africa, our Year 3 teacher Ms Derry graduated from Nelson Mandela University with a Bachelor of Education specialising in Foundation Phase Teaching. She first honed her skills teaching the British Curriculum in the UK before moving to teach in Saudi Arabia. Ms Derry believes that every aspect of a child should be nurtured and developed at school, which supports our own approach to learning and values at Aldenham Prep Riyadh. 

It’s important to provide a caring environment where pupils can thrive, and we couldn’t be more delighted to have Ms Derry as part of our teaching team. 

Mr Thomas - P.E. Teacher 

Born in England and raised in Saudi Arabia, Mr Thomas has always expressed an enjoyment in keeping active. After moving back to the UK, he studied Sport and Exercise Science at University, where he first gained experience in coaching children. 

Mr Thomas worked as a personal trainer for some time before reigniting his love of travelling and moving to China to teach English for 3 years. Upon returning to the UK, he achieved his PGCE qualification and worked in schools using his expertise as a PE specialist. 

His passion for keeping active and encouraging children to set good habits firmly aligns with our approach to education, making him a great addition to the team as our P.E. teacher. 

“I am thrilled to join the team here at Aldenham Prep Riyadh and show children the benefits of a healthy lifestyle, while teaching them a variety of sports in a way that will help each child find something they love,” shares Mr Thomas.
