The Aldenham Prep Riyadh Team: Introducing Ms Cottage
At Aldenham, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional education. By implementing a rigorous hiring process, we ensure all teachers meet our key principles, with the skills and experience to lead our pupils to academic excellence.
As we await the opening of Aldenham Prep Riyadh in September 2022, let us introduce you to one of our fantastic teachers who will be joining us in this new chapter.
Born in Northern Ireland, Ms Anne-Marie Cottage began teaching year 5 and 6 pupils in Winchester, England before working in schools in Thailand, Cyprus, Dubai and Abu Dhabi. She relocated to Riyadh four years ago with her husband and children, and was based at the British International School of Riyadh as Assistant Head of Primary until embarking on her new adventure here at Aldenham Prep Riyadh.
Before becoming a teacher, Ms Cottage attended Queen's University, Belfast where she studied English and Drama. It was her love of drama and passion for the theatre that led her to complete a Masters in Modern Drama Studies at University College, Dublin.
At Aldenham, we value those who have a deep interest in developing their teaching career. After spending many years working in professional theatre, Ms Cottage took that first step and obtained her PGCE (primary) qualifications at the University of Winchester.
Ms Cottage is very excited to be joining the Aldenham family as Upper School Lead this September and to be part of 425 years of educational history. With over 10 years' experience teaching at schools both in the UK and internationally, she will make a wonderful addition to our strong roster of teachers.
