Aldenham School, Founded 1597

Upper School (Key Stage 2)

The Upper School is the beginning of Key Stage 2. We offer day education for boys and girls from age 7-11 to develop and thrive in a vibrant yet caring environment. Most children will come to us having been in our Nursery and Lower School, but we do accept children from other settings.

Optimum class sizes and expert teaching from an early age ensure that academic attainment at Aldenham is high. But there is more to education than academia; sport, arts, drama, music, extra-curricular activities, school trips are all part of an Aldenham child’s education.

We pride ourselves on providing an excellent all round education, and laying the important foundations of learning how to learn. When children leave Aldenham Prep, they are curious and confident and are ready to face their senior schooling with all the correct building blocks in place.

Good communication with parents is vital to school success. As well as weekly newsletters, parent access to the School portal results in excellent communication with parents.

Aldenham UK

The Flagship of the Aldenham Foundation and founded in 1597, Aldenham UK is steeped in history with 423 years of academic excellence. It embodies the best of timeless traditions and universal values, along with a documented history of a forward-thinking culture that has differentiated it from its peers.

At Aldenham we remember that achievement is an individual matter, be it entry to an Oxbridge college, a sporting or cultural goal or it may simply involve growing up into a well-balanced individual. Dedicated teaching is at the heart of this endeavour as we help our students to focus on their own plans, while our teachers focus on our students.
