The Aldenham Prep Riyadh Team: Introducing Mr Mohamed Salah Aljouma
At Aldenham, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional education. By implementing a rigorous hiring process, we ensure all teachers meet our key principles, with the skills and experience to lead our pupils to academic excellence.
Please meet our new Head of Arabic and Islamic Studies, Mr Mohamed Salah Aljouma!
Mr Aljouma has been working in schools across Saudi Arabia for 13 years, with a focus on global education. Before joining Aldenham, he was Head of National Identity Materials at King Faisal School in Riyadh where he designed a special curriculum to reflect society’s values.
Born and raised in Syria, Mr Aljouma comes from a family of educators. From an early age he knew he wanted to become a teacher, naming his father as a source of inspiration. After graduating with a Bachelors in Arabic Language and Literature from the University of Aleppo, he went on to gain his Masters in Learning Disabilities from Eton University in the UK.
“Being a teacher means making a difference. It is my passion to teach and facilitate the learning process for students,” shares Mr Aljouma. A believer that passion leads to success, he’s committed to helping our pupils grow to their full potential.
“That is why my main objective for all classes is to make learning Arabic interesting, effective and meaningful. I aim to integrate Arab cultural and social aspects into my classes – I think this makes learning Arabic unique and engaging.”
“As every student has different strengths and weaknesses, I am committed to using various instruction methods in my classroom with different opportunities for my students to achieve their goals”.
Mr Aljouma is excited to be leading the Arabic and Islamic Studies department at Aldenham Prep Riyadh, where he can continue to inspire and lead pupils with his innovative approach to education.
