Back at School - Term 3
A purposeful start

Following the Spring Break, and the celebrations of Eid and Easter, it has been a pleasure to welcome pupils back to Aldenham School Riyadh (ASR) for the start of Term 3. There has been a calm sense of purpose across the school this week, with pupils settling quickly into routines and approaching their learning with focus and maturity.

At Aldenham, we place great importance on consistency, high expectations and a strong sense of community. These principles, long associated with the Aldenham tradition, are evident in the tone of classrooms and the quality of relationships across the school.

Term 3 is a significant period in the academic year. It is a time when learning consolidates, confidence grows and pupils begin to see the results of their sustained effort. From the outset, lessons have been purposeful and well-structured, providing pupils with the clarity and challenge they need to continue making strong progress.

We have been particularly pleased with the way pupils have returned to school, demonstrating resilience, independence and a readiness to engage. These qualities are developed over time and reflect the combined efforts of staff and families working in close partnership.

While some families remain overseas, our hybrid learning provision continues to support pupils in maintaining continuity. At the same time, we are encouraging a full return to face- to-face learning, where pupils benefit most from the richness of school life and the opportunities it provides.

This week also saw our Critical Incident Drill, which was conducted with impressive calmness and efficiency. Pupils responded quickly and sensibly, reflecting the strong culture of care and responsibility that underpins daily routines.

Looking ahead, our 118 weekly Co-Curricular Activities (CCAs) begin on Sunday 12th April. From sports to creative arts, these activities provide pupils with the opportunity to explore new interests, develop their talents and collaborate with peers. We encourage all children to participate fully and make the most of these exciting opportunities.

Our next Tea and Talk will take place on Monday 13th April at 8.00am. We warmly encourage you to join us, as this is a valuable opportunity to speak directly with the Senior Leadership Team, share feedback and discuss any questions you may have.

As we move through the term, our focus remains on maintaining high standards, supporting each pupil's progress and ensuring that every child feels both challenged and supported.
